Betrayal and Resiliency: Creating Healing from Sexual Abuse Using Play Therapy

jannoon028-300x197The pain and suffering children and families experience from sexual abuse can linger throughout a victim’s lifetime.

This workshop will examine the dynamics and issues related to the assessment and treatment of sexual abuse trauma through the use of play therapy.

This workshop will journey through the many layers of sexual abuse that victims go through; from betrayal to surviving and thriving. We will examine resiliency and how to enhance this through play therapy. This will be an experiential workshop. Case examples will be discussed. Some topics and information may be emotionally disturbing.

 

This course is for: Marriage and Family Therapists, Social Workers, Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Professional Clinical Counselors.
