Mary Ruth Cross is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Counselor Educator with over 20 years experience in the mental health field. Mary Ruth is Adjunct Faculty with the University of Phoenix Bay Area Campus. She has also been on faculty with John F. Kennedy University and been a nationally recognized speaker on play therapy. She works in private practice in San Ramon CA and is the Clinical Director for Treehouse Family Counseling Services, PC where she trains and supervises interns and trainees. Mary Ruth is a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor as well as past president for the California Association for Play Therapy and a member in good standing with the Association of Play Therapy, California Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the American Counseling Association.
Karen Pernet is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker,Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner with over 25 years experience providing mental health services. In her Oakland office she provides psychotherapy, play therapy and sandtray therapy to people of all ages as well as supervision and consultation to both interns and licensed professionals. She offers intensives trainings in Child Centered Play Therapy, Filial Therapy (Parent-Child Relationship Enhancement) and sandtray therapy. She has presented nationally and internationally. Karen is also certified in Gestalt Therapy and has extensive experience with trauma therapy.
Leslie Baker is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with over 25 years of experience in psychotherapy and is a National Board Certified Counselor for the past 10 years. Leslie is a Certified Gottman Therapist specializing in working with couples coping with trauma. Leslie is the owner and director of Therapy2Thrive™ of Ruby Hill Counseling Center in Pleasanton where she trains and supervises pre-licensed clinicians. She is an esteemed Faculty member and past Lead Area Chair for University of Phoenix, College of Social Sciences, Masters in Counseling Program, Bay Area Campus. She is the author of Healing Feelings: A healing story for children coping with a grownup’s mental illness. Leslie began her training in Play therapy as a pre-licensed clinician in Gestalt Play Therapy and continues to apply her skills in the field of play therapy working with tweens, teens and adults utilizing integrated play therapy interventions including computer mediated play and art therapies. Leslie facilitates conferences/workshops locally, nationally and internationally.
